Space Coast Lacrosse offers 3 levels of recreational play:
LacrosseKids! - 1 day per week for ages 5 to 7 years: coed classes with games designed to hide the learning so kids can focus on having fun while simultaneously learning how to play the game from experienced coaches. All the gear is provided so you can just show up and enjoy.
Introductory League - 1 day per week for ages 7 to 13 years: The one hour session consists of a coach led practice and game called “soft lacrosse.” Soft lacrosse does not require the purchase of equipment since there is no body checking allowed and the ball is a modified soft rubber version of the regulation lacrosse ball; players will be provided all the gear needed. Coaches will referee and instruct the practices and games utilizing the "Pause, Learn, Play" (PLP) methodology. This allows coaches to stop the practice or game for no more than 30 seconds to discuss a coaching point with the player and allow the player to restart the game implementing the skill or tactic discussed with the coach thus reinforcing and assuring positive habits, decisions and tactics are being created. Individual player development is monitored as players are allowed to additionally practice with the recreational teams if approved by the Director of Coaching.
Recreational League - for ages U10 and U14 years: boys and girls teams with practices and games to continue mastering the fundamentals and implementing the basic tactics of the game in order to properly prepare players for competitive teams. Parents are responsible for obtaining their own lacrosse equipment - stick, gloves, arm pads, shoulder pads, helmet and mouth guard for boys and, for girls, stick, gloves, mouth guard and eye wear (loaner gear is available upon request). The PLP methodology will continue to be utilized by the coaching staff.

She lives here locally in Viera with her three children.
Kids love speed/box lacrosse! Played in a hockey rink where the ball hardly goes out of bounds and games are 5 v 5 which makes the game extremely fast paced giving players many more chances, decisions, defending, ground balls, shots and touches than they would have otherwise.
